Launch week: how to be ready for 4 November
Name reservation opens 27 October, the game opens 4 November. How to arrive with a guild, get warned about scammers in game, and find the community.
World of Warcraft: Forever opens on 4 November. Here is what happens between now and then, and how to use this site to arrive with a guild.
The dates
- 21 October: Blizzard's stress test, a short window to load up the servers before launch.
- 27 October to 3 November: early name reservation for anyone with the Digital Upgrade or the Collector's Edition. It opens at 4:00 PM Eastern (1:00 PM Pacific) on the 27th. You can reserve up to three characters across all rulesets, first come first served.
- 4 November: launch.
Find your guild before the gates open
A guild found now is a dungeon group on day one.
- Browse the guild pages. Every page shows openings, raid nights, atmosphere and, once you have a profile, how well you would fit.
- Put up a player profile: what you play, when you are free and what kind of guild you want. Guilds search profiles, and yours is posted to the Discord's player listings the day you publish it.
- Running a guild? Create your guild page now. Set your openings and your raid teams, and recruits will find you here and on the Discord.
Install Forever Justice
Forever Justice is the community's blacklist, built into an addon. It warns you in game when a player the community found responsible for scamming, ninja looting or harassment whispers you, invites you or joins your group. Get it from CurseForge and the CurseForge app keeps the list current every week. If something happens to you, report it with evidence: the team reads every report.
Where the community talks
The Forever Community Discord server is where recruitment, launch-night voice and the staff team live. Everything on this site logs in with your Discord account, so if you are in the server you are already set up.
This site has a new name
Forever WoW is now Forever Community, the community hub for World of Warcraft: Forever. The guild finder is still here, with news, Forever Justice and events alongside it. Same volunteers, same Discord, and no affiliation with Blizzard.
See you on the 4th.
